STANDARDIZE function

STANDARDIZE(x, mean, standardDeviation) STANDARDIZE(x; mean; standardDeviation)

x — Number or { Number }

The number to normalize.

mean — Number or { Number }

The arithmetic mean of the distribution.

standardDeviation — Number or { Number }

The standard deviation of the distribution.

Returns — Number or { Number }

The equivalent value in a standard normal distribution.

Converts a value in a normal distribution to its equivalent in a standard normal distribution.

Example

STANDARDIZE(14, 10, 4)STANDARDIZE(14; 10; 4)

Returns 1. The original value 14 lies one standard deviation above the original mean 10. The new value lies one standard deviation above the new mean 0.
