INT function

INT(Number) INT(Number)

Number

Number or { Number }

The number to truncate.

Returns

Number or { Number }

A number with no fractional part.

Returns a truncated version of a number, in effect rounding it down to the nearest integer. INT(22.1)INT(22,1) returns 22.

When the number is negative, this function rounds away from zero (unlike the TRUNC function). In other words, INT(-22.1)INT(-22,1) returns -23.

Examples

INT(22.1)INT(22,1)

Returns 22.

INT(-22.1)INT(-22,1)

Returns -23.

INT({ 22.1, -22.1 })INT({ 22,1; -22,1 })

Returns the array { 22, -23 }{ 22; -23 }.
